The
opening of Akaar in '93 was an opportunity as there was no other such shop in the rapidly developing Satellite area. The product range has widened over the years, catering to our satisfied clientele. Our main line is block-printed textiles in traditional colours and ethnic designs from Rajasthan and Andhrapradesh. Hand stiched guddis in similar prints make interesting covers for beds and diwans. Thick hand-woven cotton bed covers in self tones and designs are from different parts of India Cushion covers and bolster covers in similar designs and colours are available to allow the customers to put together their own themes. Hand applique worked bed covers from Gujarat and Rajasthan are available in natural tones and traditional motifs. Table linen sets in attractive colours do wonders to the dining area. Special orders are undertaken for discerning clients who wish to decorate their homes according to their own combinations. |
Handicraftsavailable are selected from all over India. They include brass, meenakari on brass and copper,handmade marble artifacts ect. Brass items carefully chosen from all over India are available in contemporary designs and reproductions of antique brass artifacts. |
